GTA 5 could leave Xbox Game Pass soon It looks like Grand Theft Auto 5 could leave Xbox Game Pass soon, according to a notification from Xbox that's been popping up on subscriber's phones.Sean Carey Published 21 Dec 2023 FollowtopicsGrand Theft Auto VRockstar GamesOnline MultiplayerOnline Co-opXbox Game PassXbox Series X|SFirst Person ShooterSean Carey Grand Theft Auto 5's time in Game Pass could be coming to an end as a notification sent to subscribers suggests GTA 5 will leave Xbox Game Pass on December 31. Although it's not currently showing in the 'leaving soon' section of the Game Pass app or on consoles, we, and seemingly several other subscribers, received notifications stating that GTA 5 will leave Xbox Game Pass on December 31 and to "play it before it's gone."GTA 5's removal from the service hasn't been announced anywhere, and these Game Pass notifications are sometimes a bit unreliable (see: Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 potentially joining Game Pass). That being said, GTA 5 and other Rockstar games in the past haven't remained in Game Pass for long, and the end of December would mean GTA 5 has now been in the service for six months. While it is yet to be confirmed, you may want to start working your way through the Grand Theft Auto V achievements now, just in case. According to estimates, a completion will likely take between 60 and 80 hours. If you knock out the Xbox One version of the game first, you can then jump straight into the Xbox Series X|S stack and auto-pop that version's achievement list. Microsoft recently confirmed that two games are leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of December.
