If you have your cat near you when you go to bed, it will sleep with you. When you wake up, there is a chance the cat wil have dropped you something that it had retrieved that night. It is random, so if it doesn't bring you anything, try again the next night.
They can gift a Rabbit's Foot, Rabbit Hide, String, Rotten flesh, Feather, Raw Chicken, or Phantom membrane When you wake up it will either be laying on the ground or have popped into your inventory. It's best to sleep with nothing in your inventory so you know if you received something.
Only use one cat. This achievement is glitchy and if you have multiple cats dropping you gifts, the achievement might not pop.
If you are starting fresh and need a cat, they spawn in as strays in villages. You need to tame it with fish the same way you used to with Ocelots. The method I used was starting up a "Coastal Village" seed (there should be an option next to the seed name). This way you won't have to go out looking for a village and a fishing spot.
To get this achievement you have to be in your own world solo and when you create your world make sure that you select the village as your seed for where you want to spawn and if you want you can turn on bonus chest as sometimes it has raw fish in it anyways after that go in the water and kill 5 fish and kill 3 sheep as well as get three things of wood. Make sure to tame your cat and i had my cat walk around and i went to bed in a village and my cat dropped string and the achievement poped for me.
